Officially beginning work on my second novel, Born in 1984, which is a full force plunge into social satire. I am pulling out all the stops and allowing myself to indulge creatively and say everything I need to say. My goal is to make a statement.
This is going to be a huge leap for me creatively, and I feel confident it's what I need to write right now. I have learned a great deal and I feel I am ready. I am at a stage where I have more or less finished what I have been working on and it is time to stretch my creative muscles.
I will also be writing some new short stories; I have ideas for at least three. I also have two I have written and am polishing to get published and one going to be published next year.
Still working on ways to promote myself, sell my collection, and build a fan-base. Also working on getting my first novel, Out in the Garage, ready for self-publishing. I will be revealing the details for that, including the cover design.
Finally, I am gearing up to start doing the research for my thesis. I am looking forward to it, actually. It is a fun topic and I will be able to incorporate what I learn into my creative writing as well. It's going to be a busy summer, but I wouldn't have it any other way.
